Corporate Tax Portal: UX/UI Redesign and Design System
A UX/UI redesign of a corporate tax portal, built on a documented React design system that gives three independent repositories one consistent, accessible foundation.
01. The Challenge
The client’s internal tax portal handles dense tax data (annual F22, monthly F29, additional F50 grids), scraping-bot monitors and company-group assignments. The challenge was presenting that density clearly under strict role-based access control, across three separate codebases.
02. The Solution
We built an atomic component library in React, TypeScript and CSS Modules, documented in Storybook (Atoms, Molecules, Organisms, Pages). The look follows Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, with a dedicated export mode for clean PDF and email rendering, and built-in access-control components such as PermissionGuard to show or hide features by role.
03. The Result
A redesigned portal with a single visual language, delivered as a shared package that frontend, backend and worker repositories consume, with a documented, accessible set of components for future work.
